This course emphasizes evolving nursing concepts and incorporates the continued development of conceptual skills needed for therapeutic nursing interventions for culturally diverse individuals throughout the lifespan. Focus is placed on providing nursing care to adults with medical or surgical illnesses and their families as well as the continual development of interpersonal skills. Progressive application of the nursing process is expected of students as they complete clinical assignments in acute and structured community settings. Prerequisite: NR110.
