Through an integrated approach a simultaneous study and coverage of aliphatic, aromatic and heterocyclic compounds. Reactions of the common functional groups are correlated with each other by means of structural and mechanistic theories. Special emphasis is given to the molecular-orbital description of molecules and intermediates, to resonance mechanisms, optical isomerism and stereoisomerism. Lab fee. Prerequisite: CH121.
