The course emphasizes the decision-making aspects of taxation rather than taking a rules-oriented approach. While many areas of tax theory are applicable to both individuals and businesses, this course will concentrate on business tax concepts. Various tax-reporting forms are introduced but the focus of the course is not on preparation of tax returns.
