Activity director: Teaches certified nurse aides (CNA) in long-term care settings how to plan and implement a comprehensive activity program based on the physical and psychosocial needs of residents. Social service designee: Teaches CNAs how to assist licensed social workers in long-term care facilities. Responsibilities include orientation of residents and families to the facility, participation in care planning and maintenance of accurate records. (60 clock hours) Prerequisite: GRA 101 Certified Nurse Aide or Kansas Certified Nurse Aide certification or department approval.
