Topics studied are medical practice, sources of law and governmental organizations, state practice acts, implementing change, professional organizations, patient records, business structure of the health-care practice, government regulations, employment law and professional ethics. Includes introduction to and application of research methods and quality assurance policies and procedures. Prerequisite: Graduate of an accredited Dental Assistant, Medical Assistant or Surgical Technology program.
