Study of advanced shielded metal arc welding. Included are the basic principles of gas tungsten arc welding (TIG) and gas metal arc welding (MIG) of various ferrous and nonferrous metals. Emphasis is on joint preparation and fitting through the use of student supplied projects. Not available for credit except through an active Western Oklahoma State College Cooperative or Alliance Agreement. ( 4 credit hours, 16-32 lecture hours, 48-64 lab hours)
