This course will focus on mastering essentials of advanced medical coding and coding services of medical visits, diagnostic testing and interpretation, treatments, surgeries, and anesthesia. Course work will focus on the use of the Current Procedural Handbook, ICD-9-CM, and HCPCS. This class will help students in preparation of certification in the field of medical coding. Prerequisites: OFST 2523 (3 credit hours, 48 lecture hours, 0 lab hours)
