This course is designed to provide the student with a philosophy of living that encourages a higher quality of life and a state of well being. Lifestyle choices are identified and explained in regard to proper exercise, weight management, stress management, health care, nutrition and cardiovascular disease prevention. Assessment techniques and development of individual prescriptions in the areas of muscular strength, muscular flexibility, cardiovascular endurance, body composition, and nutrition are studied. Lifetime leisure skills are identified and developed to provide a well rounded exposure to wellness. (3 credit hours, 48 lecture hours, 0 lab hours)
