Presents terminology, concepts, and techniques needed to care for the acutely ill. Students learn to read, write, and interpret data and learn basic drug calculations, as well as learn to prioritize time and tasks and enhance their interpersonal team communications. Students learn advanced skill techniques and how to become part of the ambulance and hospital systems. This course is not available for credit except through an active Western Oklahoma State College Cooperative Agreement. ( 8 credit hours, 72 lecture hours, 228 lab/clinical hours)
