This course provides basic technical and graphic arts concepts essential for all students and professional desktop publishers, print industry practices, and the typography terminology needed to efficiently use a desktop publishing system. Students will use desktop publishing software to develop professional-looking publications, including newsletters, advertisements, stationery, flyers, business cards, announcements, and use HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) in the desktop publishing software to create documents to post on the Web. Prerequisite: OFST 1103 or instructor?s permission. (3 credit hours, 48 lecture hours, 0 lab hours)
