This course will acquaint students with features of connection-oriented network services and connectionless network services, the three basic methods of flow control, functions of the TCP/IP transport-layer protocols, management of configuration files, control of router passwords, identification and banners, identification of important Cisco Software commands, user and privileged mode lob-in, help menus, command history and editing features, routing problems associated with topology changes, configuration of IP addresses, addition routing protocols, and monitoring of IP traffic and access list operations. This course is not available for credit except through an active Western Oklahoma State College Cooperative Agreement. Prerequisite: BCIS 2463 (3 credit hours, 48 lecture hours, 0 lab hours)
