This course will acquaint students with the functions of each of the seven layers of the OSI reference model, the two parts of network addressing, the five conversion steps of data encapsulation, the different classes of IP addresses, sub netting, and the functions of the TCP/IP network-layer protocols. This course is not available for credit except through an active Western Oklahoma State College Cooperative Agreement. ( 3 credit hours, 48 lecture hours, 0 lab hours)
