Prerequisite: LPNR-1240 Co-requisite(s): NURS-1410 BIOS-2460 In the Nursing of Adult courses, a holistic approach is utilized to present the adult client's health-illness continuum through the life span. Th e nursing process; including health data collection, nursing interventions and therapeutic communication skills; is utilized as a framework for presentation and development of the entry-level body of knowledge for the practical nurse. Concepts related to the disease process, Maslow's Hierarchy, pharmacodynamics and nutrition are employed to foster the holistic approach to nursing care. Nursing of Adults 1 covers health-illness issues related to Growth & Development, Endocrine, Circulatory, Hematology, Renal and Respiratory. Students are provided with clinical experiences to enrich their learning and abilities in the application of nursing interventions. (5/30/V/135/0/V)
