Prerequisite: HIMS-2250 HIMS-1500 Th is course introduces the student to the issues involved in the management of quality and performance improvement in the health care setting. Th e course investigates the components of quality, performance improvement and the regulatory requirements for this function. Student will learn skills in data analysis, performance improvement tools and data presentation. Th e functions of risk management, utilization management and case management will also be explored.
