Prerequisite: None Th is course covers the history of Asbestos and the importance of safety, quality, health and environmental awareness for abatement projects. Th is course will emphasize the basic tools and techniques, utilize personal protective equipment, ladders and scaff olds, ventilation, air contaminates, medical and fi rst aid, medical records, confi ned space and electrical hazards. Th is course will communicate to the student the hazards of asbestos. Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to defi ne and explain the needs for improved safety, health, quality and environmental awareness. Th e student should also be able to describe the principles and elements for a successful abatement program and be able to apply these elements to typical tasks required. (3/45/0/0/0/3)
