ELEC 1410 - AC Circuits Analysis

Institution:
Western Nebraska Community College
Subject:
Description:
Prerequisite: ELEC-1400 Th is course covers the quantities encountered in AC electric circuits. Analyzing AC circuits using impedance, admittance and phasor to obtain any required circuit quantities as current, voltage, power and frequency. Th is course examines the concepts of frequency and phase relating to a sinusoidal waveform. Th is course explores the circuit variables of AC on capacitors, inductors, RC circuits, RL circuits and RLC circuits. Th e course introduces the concept of the resonance phenomenon in RLC AC circuits. Th is course will direct the student through each new concept by utilizing a balanced approach of theory and computer simulation lab projects. (3/30/45/0/0/5)
