Prerequisite: ELEC-1410 Th is course is a study of the characteristics of active devices and the analysis of electronic circuits by Kirchoff 's laws and network theorems. Th e devices include semiconductor materials and pn junctions, diodes and applications, special diodes, bipolar-junction transistors and biasing, fi eldeff ect transistors and biasing, small-signal bipolar amplifi ers, small signal FET amplifi ers and power amplifi ers. Th e laboratory sessions include practical experience in constructing electronic circuits from diagrams, component identifi cation and the use of electronic test equipment and electronic safety.
