Prerequisite: ELEC-1500 Th is course gives the student a practical, real world approach to troubleshooting of computers to board level and component level. A computer technician competent in the repair of a microcomputer can easily learn the repair and troubleshooting techniques of any other class of computer. Th e use of ROM, RAM, data storage, monitors and keyboards remains essentially the same for all computers. Th is course gives the beginning computer-maintenance technician the confi dence to begin troubleshooting on actual computers with a minimum chance of further damage to the equipment and a maximum chance of troubleshooting success.
