Prerequisite: HIMS-1350 Co-requisite(s): HIMS-2330L HIMS-2730 Th is course will examine the foundations of health information technology used in the collection and management of clinical information through literature review and hands-on lab experiences. Topics covered include: the function of the health record, content and structure of the health record, primary and secondary data sets and healthcare information requirements and standards.
