Prerequisite: ELEC-1111 Th is course covers the designing, testing and troubleshooting LAN's. LAN 2 course covers LAN topologies as Bus, Star, fi ber-optic, wireless LAN and giga technology. LAN 2 course teaches the design and implementing Ethernet networks using UTP and multi-mode Fiber Optic cables. Students are introduced to the data link layers for the Ethernet, Token Ring and networking protocols. Th is course includes both theory and hands-on training for LAN designs as 10Base2, 10BaseT, 100BaseT and multimode fi ber optics technology. (3/30/45/0/0/5)
