Prerequisite: ELEC-1420 Th is is an in-depth comprehensive program for teaching the skills needed to perform the highest quality repairs on any type of electronic assembly. Th is course covers a broad range of soldering techniques and understanding the soldering process. It includes soldering of terminals, axial lead components, multi-leaded components, dual inline package ICs, surface mount technology, edge connector and substrate repair. Th e student is given instruction to the uses of diff erent types of soldering equipment and then demonstrates with 'hand-on' labprojects. (2/15/45/0/0/4)
