Prerequisite: None Th is is the fi rst part of the three part EMT-Basic course. Th e EMT-Basic candidate will be familiarized with the introductory aspects of emergency medical care. Topics covered include the well-being of the EMT-Basic, medical/legal and ethical issues, the human body, baseline vital signs and SAMPLE history, lift ing and moving patients, airway and patient assessment.
