Prerequisite: BSTC-1480 Th is course is divided into fi ve sections. Th e fi rst section discusses several aspects involved in owning a business; for example, fi nancial statements, inventory pricing and accounting ratios. Th e second section deals with diff erent methods of computing depreciation and the third section treats compound interest and related topics. Th e fourth section covers fi re and life insurance and the fi ft h section discusses measures of correlation, the interpretation of charts and graphs and the consumer price index. Th is is an open-entry/open-exit course off ered through the Independent Learning and Assessment Center. Hours to be arranged. **Credit will not be given for BSTC-1470, BSTC-1480 and BSTC-1490 if BSTC- 1500 has been taken. (1/15/0/0/0/V)
