PrerequisiteBIO 252, SFA 200, SFA 210 This is an introductory course on the theory and practice of caring for the surgical patient by the surgical first assistant during the pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases of a surgery. The student will also learn the role of the first assistant during the pathological and physiological processes and when the first assistant must apply intervention techniques.
