PrerequisiteFPT 220 This program is designed to prepare fire fighters for advancement in the fire service. It is based on the Michigan Fire Fighters Training Council (MFTTCLeadership and Health and Safety curriculum. Topics include problem solving, ways to identify and assess the needs of the Company Officer's subordinates, methods for running meetings effectively, decision-making skills for the Company Officer, ethics, use and abuse of power at the Company Officer level, delegation to subordinates, assess personal leadership styles through situational leadership, discipline subordinates, and applies coaching/motivational techniques for the Company Officer.
