PrerequisiteProgram Admission This course is designed to provide Hospital and EMS experience to EMT Basic students to learn the psychomotor, affective and apply cognitive skills needed for entry level work as an Emergency Medical Technician Basic. These include but are not limited to Patient Assessment, Spinal Immobilization, Bleeding Control, and Donning and doffing of PPE's. This is a State of Michigan approved course. If all comprehensive written and practical examinations and corequisites are completed successfully the students are eligible to apply for licensure exams. Students are required to complete an orientation session prior to attending the clinical experience.
