PrerequisiteCOR 100 and COR 105 An in-depth study of the purpose of prisons and correctional institutions. There will be discussion of the management and organization of correctional institutions with specific description of traditional job roles. Custodial care and safety/ security issues will be discussed as well as other institutional concerns in reference to incarceration. Course needed to satisfy the requirements to become a State of Michigan Corrections Officer.
