Principles of physical agents using modalities such as heat, cold, sound, light, and water are taught. Basic concepts of tissue healing, infl ammation, and pain are introduced with laboratory skill practice and demonstration of modalities in simulated patient situations. Documentation of modalities within designated plans of care will be included. (Prerequisite: Admission into the PTA program. Corequisites: PTA 1010, 1040/1041) F 2 hours lecture / 6 hours laboratory
