This clinical course focuses on care of the client across the lifespan with variations and alterations in mental health. The core competencies fl ow from the philosophy and organizational framework and are the basis for skills and clinical competencies. The nursing process will be applied to client care in inpatient and outpatient settings, focusing on health promotion, therapeutic communication, caring interventions and the legal/ethical aspects of mental health nursing.
