ITEE 1330 - AC Electrical Circuits

Institution:
Walters State Community College
Subject:
Description:
A study of AC sinusoidal waveforms applied to series, parallel and series-parallel AC circuits and applications of network theorems involving rectangular and polar numbers. The effects of resistance, inductance, and capacitance on sinusoidal phase relationships and the conversion of voltage sources to current sources and current sources to voltage sources are a major part of the course. Mesh current analysis and Nodal analysis will be applied to multisource AC circuits. Series and parallel resonant circuit characteristics will be analyzed along with the quality factor (Q), decibels, R-C low pass fi lters, R-C high pass fi lters, band-pass fi lters and band-stop fi lters.
