A study of the fundamentals of production and materials control systems. Topics include the elements of the Manufacturing Planning and Control System. Materials Requirements Planning (MRP), Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRPII), queuing theory, and an introduction to the requirements of establishing a Just-In-Time manufacturing environment. Other topics include computerized materials planning/scheduling, job scheduling techniques and the possible implications of such.
