Tracking is the knowledge of knowing what to look for after a person has gone through an area. Tracking today is mainly used for lost persons or fl eeing fugitives. Good trackers do not have to be descended from mountain men nor be part Indian. Good trackers are not born - they are trained and then practice for many years. (Specialized Law Enforcement only)
