This course brings into focus the management of golf course and sports turf maintenance operations as it relates to the superintendent's duties. Such areas as turf grooming, work scheduling, equipment management, records and budgets and irrigation system management will be covered. Golf course design and construction, maintenance building and workshop design and operation will also be covered. Students will take an active role in the day to day operations of the college's turf lab as part of their lab work. F 3 hours lecture / 2 hours laboratory
