This course provides students with basic knowledge of the hardware and software found in the law office. Specific software packages and computer systems designed for, or applied to, use in law offices are emphasized. In addition, computer assisted legal research (CALR) techniques, especially through West Publishing Company's WESTLAW system, are studied. PREREQUISITE: CIS 100 or permission of program coordinator.
