A basic course to prepare the student to work and communicate with patients and the dental members effectively. Emphasis is on ethics, legal aspects, terminology, oral histology, dental morphology, charting, embryology, oral and written communication and patient care.PREREQUISITE: Acceptance into the Dental Assistant Program or permission of the Director of the Dental Assistant Program. Fifteen lecture hours per semester.
