This course is designed to introduce students to the vocabulary and grammar of FORTRAN-77. Greatest emphasis is placed on algorithm design, program structure and the utilization of the computer to carry out complex calculations which would be otherwise difficult or unfeasible. Course content is oriented to complement a student's mathematical or engineering background. PREREQUISITES: MATH 1910 with a grade of "C" or better. Two lecture, two laboratoryhours per week.
