A beginning course in fiction, emphasizing process over product. Introduces issues of craft, workshop vocabulary, strategies for revision and the habit of reading as a writer. A $20.00 workshop fee is required. For those going into a Creative Writing degree at UNM, this course will transfer as an elective. English 224 is the preferred class for Creative Writing Majors. Prerequisite: ENGL 101 or its equivalent.
