Prerequisite: Grade of "C" or higher in ENG 1023 Composition II Offered on deman d This course will introduce students to theroots and relevance of drama, from classical to contemporary works Students will read and/or watch a variety of dramatic forms from tragedy, comedy, social drama, epic theatre, absurdist theatre, and modern theatre This course views drama as a genre: an evolving art form dependent on audience and social environment for interpretation In addition to lecture, discussion, and writing, students will complete a research project with a minimum of six pages using at least six secondary sources following one of the critical approaches to literature ( GE)
