Provides training in the fundamentals of math and in problem solving related to business situations and financial management. The course includes percentages, mark-ups and markdowns, credit purchases, bank reconciliation, payroll, taxes, insurance, statistics, and pre-algebra. The instruction incorporates the use of functions and capabilities of the electronic calculator. Placement to be determined by the student's score on the mathematics section of ACT of 14 or above, ASSET Elementary Algebra test of 28 or above; COMPASS Elementary Algebra test of 17 or above.
