LPN to RN students are expected to care for clients in the clinical setting using the skills acquired through his/her practical nursing program. These skills include concepts of basic nursing, pharmacology, and care of clients with various conditions. The spring semester builds upon beginning nursing skills by introducing tasks that require specialized nursing skill and judgments of a professional registered nurse. Upon successful completion of the spring semester, each student is awarded 3 credit hours for his/her practical nursing education.
