Introduces geologic concepts including plate tectonics, volcanism, earthquakes, mountain building, glaciation, and hydrologic processes. Students will identify basic minerals and rocks. The rock cycle and its effect on sedimentary, igneous, and metamorphic rocks will be explored. Relationships to Arkansas geology will be featured. Spring only. Corequisite: GEOL 1001-01 (Physical Geology Lab)
