This course will introduce students to the filmmaking art. Students will analyze films' meanings and messages by analysis of symbolic representation using critical thinking. Students will put the films into context with the cultural, societal, and political influences of the day and evaluate how the films attempted to shape these factors in society. The students will also study the historical context of the films and their aesthetic qualities. ( 3,0,3)
