LPN to RN students enter this program with entry level nursing education. Knowledge of fundamentals of basic nursing, pharmacology, nutrition, medical-surgical, geriatric, legal and ethical issues, obstetrics, pediatrics, mental health, and delegation is expanded upon to encompass the role of the professional registered nurse. Upon successful completion of the spring semester, each student is awarded 5 credit hours for his/her practical nursing education.
