The role of the technician within a veterinary health care team, professional opportunities, organizations and continuing education for graduate technicians. Economics, ethics, regulatory organizations, and laws governing technicians. Humane care practices, sanitation and prevention of zoonosis, animal behavior, pet loss-grief issues, and client relations. Lecture 2 hours. No laboratory.
