This course covers the skills needed by preschool teachers to plan, develop and present developmentally appropriate activities in math and science for young children. The course presents a hands-on approach to teaching science and math by offering basic experiments in ecology, biology and physical science. Emphasis will be placed on the following three types of learning: naturalistic, informal and structured. Prerequisites: ECE 1003, 1103 and 1203 or CDA.
