3 Credits Office management principles and procedures relevant to veterinary medicine are surveyed. Includes practical interpersonal communication and customer relations skills, professional correspondence, appointment scheduling, financial record keeping, and the orientation to and application of veterinary practice management software. Legal and ethical considerations regarding medical records and office organization are introduced. Hands-on microcomputer training will be provided. Lecture 2 hours. Laboratory 2 hours. Requires admission to VT program or Coordinator approval.
