4 Credits Introduction to microorganisms. Consideration will be given primarily to pathogenic microorganisms related to veterinary medicine; including bacteria, viruses, fungi, and protozoa. Emphasis will be placed on sanitation, disinfectants, aseptic technique, sterilization techniques, zoonosis, and related public health concerns. Lecture 3 hours. Laboratory 3 hours. Prerequisite: All prior VT courses with a grade of "C" or better.
