Prerequisite: Acceptance to the Nursing Program. Open to students accepted to the nursing program only. An introductory course taken concurrently with NURS 131. The course provides an opportunity for the beginning nursing student to learn and practice basic skills and techniques. Theory content from NURS 131 forms the foundation for implementation of basic nursing skills. Qualified practicing LPN's may be exempt from this course. Twelve hours clinical practice for 7-1/2 weeks.
