Prerequisite: None The course further orients the student to the mission and history of the Fire Prevention Bureau. Upon completion the student will understand the causes and preventative measures that can be taken to prevent fire deaths and injuries. In addition the student will obtain a basic knowledge of fire and building codes, fire protection systems, public education, commercial and residential inspections and related legal concerns.
