Prerequisite: None The course is designed to educate firefighters in recognizing the elements that cause erratic fire behavior and be prepared to deal with fire effectively. To provide a knowledge of fuels, topography and weather factors which effect wild land fire behavior, to apply theory and principles presented and to provide the tools to make better fire management and safety decisions based on his/her predictions.
